  • Help to promote reading in Lansdale

    The PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce is presenting the 14th annual Community Reading Day, which will take place on May 8. On that day 110 chamber members will volunteer to read a chosen book to 2nd grade students in area public and private schools. Afterwards the books will be donated to the various school libraries.

    The 21st annual International Spring Festival will take place on April 21 at North Penn High School from 11am - 5pm. Admission is free. The event is presented by the Lansdale Public Library.

    Lent has begun, and Easter will be here before we know it. For many, Easter is a time of tradition. With that in mind, the Lansdale Borough Parks and Recreation is presenting two Pyskanky workshops. The cost of each workshop is $25 for residents of Lansdale Borough and $30 for non-residents.

    The Winter Beach Blast will take place at Village Caterers on February 24 from 7-9 pm. Tickets are $30 and include sandwiches, suds and sounds of summer.

    The Lansdale Business Associations Annual Community Housing Drive is currently in full swing. Each year, the association chooses one needy family to collect for over the holidays. The family is asked what they would like most of all and those in the community who can, donate those items. Information such as favorite colors and items most needed is shared with the public. This year the family asked for toys and basic household items. Donations can be dropped off at a number of businesses in Lansdale.
